(1) Low density. It is only 1/5 of the ordinary light clay brick and 1/10 of the ordinary clay brick, providing conditions for the lightweight of industrial furnace.
(2) Low thermal conductivity. Thermal conductivity is the most important property of thermal insulation materials. Compared with common heavy and light refractory materials, its thermal conductivity is the lowest
(3) Low heat capacity. The thermal capacity of aluminosilicate refractory fiber is lower than that of ordinary light and heavy refractory bricks, so it is used for furnace lining of thermal equipment, with fast temperature rise and low heat consumption. Comparison of heat storage capacity between aluminum silicate refractory fiber and other heavy and light refractory materials.
(4) Good thermal shock resistance and mechanical shock resistance. Because aluminum silicate refractory fiber is elastic and flexible, it will not peel off under any severe cold and hot conditions, and can resist bending, twisting and mechanical vibration. After the construction of furnace lining, it is not necessary to dry the furnace, and it is not limited by temperature rise and drop during use.
(5) Chemical properties are stable. In addition to being corroded by hydrofluoric acid and strong acid, the refractory fiber, such as steam, oil and other acids and alkalis, will not be corroded.
(6) It is not wet to molten metal. Aluminum silicate refractory fiber does not wet aluminum, lead, tin, copper and other metals in liquid state
